Potty Problems...

So after a few days of "potty training" I pretty much have given up. I didn't really go at it hard core or anything. A few times during the day I would put her on the toilet....and nothing ever happened. I just don't think that she's that interested yet. If she does want to sit on it, its only for a minute and she wants off. So does anyone have any advice out there? Should I wait a few more months or should I go all out and try the 3 day potty training or whatever it is? Take her off diapers completely? That sounds pretty scary to me. I don't know if I'm ready, let alone Ella.

Just kidding, he CAN crawl!

Pretty much right after I posted about Kash "almost"crawling, he was crawling! He isn't all over the house yet but he can get where he wants to go. Matt was giving Ella a bath and all of a sudden he sees Kash rounding the corner and into the bathroom! He didn't want to miss out on bath time. So, it's official. No more little things on the floor, no more doors left open, no more sitting nicely on a blanket at the park....that's all over! We are on to the next phase. Wish me luck.

So Close...

Kash is going to be crawling any time now. He will get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth like crazy. He wants to be able to get around so bad! We had to lower his crib mattress because he can pull himself up on the railing and almost fall out. He won't even lay in his little bouncer chair anymore, he tries to crawl right off. Ella was crawling by this age, so I am excited for him to be able to do it, but at the same time having two mobile kids is a very scary thing! It is going to make life a lot more difficult!

MY DAD

Happy Father's Day Dad, I love you! I have the best dad ever, he is so fun. He has had to deal with living in a house of 6 girls for a very long time! The poor guy, even the dog is a girl. Luckily now he has Matt and Kash to hang out with and do boy things. All of us sisters are so lucky to have him as our Dad. He is so funny, and always cracks us up with his many accents/voices. He is such a good cook, I am always so excited to go home and have him make all my favorites. He is probably the hardest worker I know. He loves to come home after shoeing horses all day long and force us girls to give him a BIG SWEATY HUG! We scream and fight him off but he says he just smells like money, so we should like it. He is the best grandpa ever, and his two little grandkids love him so much. Ella especially loves her "Papa." He acts like a big tough guy but is really the sweetest. He is always looking out for his kids and wants the very best for us. So this picture is at Easter with him surrounded by his girls. He usually doesn't have a goatee, but doesn't he look like a stud? Love you daddy.

Two Years Old!

Ella turned two on June 8, and I still can't believe that I have a 2 year old. It was really fun being able to celebrate her birthday with my family in California. I was SO excited for her to open her presents, probably more excited then she was! She got dress ups, and a big purse that held four pairs of dress up shoes. The shoes were definitely a favorite of hers, she wears them everyday. She also loved her mini stroller, she pushes that thing around with her everywhere and is so sad when she can't take it with her in the car. She also got.....get this...a potty. I am not looking forward to the whole potty training thing, and if anyone has any advice I would love it!! I got a Dora potty (she loves dora) so I am hoping that will help me out in some way.

Okay so I am so proud of the way her cake turned out! (Thanks mom and Kar for helping)I am NOT crafty in any way so this was pretty good for me. It was so fun to make and I am seriously in love with it. The best part is that Ella was so excited when she saw it, she loved it.

Glendora

Matt has been out of town a lot lately for work so he decided to take Thursday and Friday off so we could go visit my family in California. It was Ella's birthday on Sunday so it worked out perfectly to have her party down there. I'll post pics of her party soon, but here are a few of us playing in the backyard...

Teething

Kash has had his two bottom teeth in for a while now, and now his two top teeth are coming through. His bottom teeth were no problem, I didn't even know he was teething until they were in. But these top ones have been a pain! He has never slept through the night but now he wakes up every hour or two. One thing that he loves are these teething biscuits. He chews on one for hours and is so happy! They make a mess, but it's worth it.

Mrs. Alek Trueblood!

It's finally over! This has been a crazy couple of weeks for everyone apart of this wedding. We can all relax now because everything went really well. Corinne was absolutely beautiful. Even the weather held out for her ceremony which was held in Alek's parents backyard. Ella was the flower girl (I know how scary that sounds) but she did so good! She couldn't quite get the concept of walking AND throwing the petals at the same time, so she just walked. But I was thrilled with that! She had six bridesmaids: her two sisters, Alek's two sisters, and Becky and I. I was SO lucky to have my sister Karlee come down this week to help. I couldn't have done it without her, really. They went to Park City for their honeymoon and then they will move into their new townhouse that they bought here in St. George. Congrats Corinne, LOVE YA.

Bridal Shower

Corinne's bridal shower was the night before the wedding, so all of her family was able to come. She had SO much family come from Minnesota, so that was fun. She got a lot of cute stuff, and if I do say so myself the food was super yummy!

A DAY AT THE POOL

On Saturday we had some friends come with us to the pool. It was such a nice day, oh how I love St. George! It was the first time we really got Kash in the water and he LOVED it. He would NOT stop kicking his legs, he was so funny. Ella and Kash loved being in their tubes, and Ella wanted to be right next to Kash so she could give him kisses. Matt and Jesse even got a game of chess in (I know what nerds). And you have to check out Cody in his new speedo, he should be a model don't you think? The hot girls laying out are Leah and Becky. I am so glad I have fun friends that don't mind hanging out with an old married couple and their kids!

Bath Fun

Ella and Kash love taking baths together, and this is the fun game Matt came up with. How many letters can we fit on Kash's head? Everyone says he has a big head, but geez give him a break! He didn't seem to mind too much though.
