The Shower

We had a bridal shower for Whitney here in St. George this weekend! It was fun for her to get together with all of her Utah friends, especially for those that aren't going to be able to come to the wedding in California. We had it at Debbie Hartman's house (thanks Debbie and Hill!) and it turned out really great. Thanks to everyone for coming and supporting Whitney.

This is a taste of how the wedding is going to look. Everything is gold and champagne colored! It is going to be so pretty.

The most important part of a shower is the food!You always stress(or at least i do) of how it is going to turn out, but it was SO yummy.

We had Whit answer questions and then had Ryan recorded on a DVD of his answers. He was such a good sport and it was so cute to see his responses.

I am missing this.....

Where is the sun? For the past 2 weeks it has been overcast and cooler. The fact that it isn't 100+ degrees isn't a bad thing, but we haven't been at the pool or splash pad in a while. I am missing the sun!

Gymnastics

While we were in California Ella went to a gymnastics class with her little cousin Ty. I have been thinking about signing her up for awhile so this was a good opportunity to see how she liked it. Well, she LOVED IT. She was so into it, she did everything she was asked and did not want to stop. Now that she is 3 I'm sure there are classes available for her age. Does anyone know of a good deal in town?

I took these pics through a glass window so they didn't turn out very well. I held Kash up to watch Ella and he had a MELTDOWN. He wanted to go in with her so bad that he just cried and cried.

The best part was this giant pit filled with foam blocks. The kids would take a running leap and jump right in! I almost asked if I could do it too...

By the time we got home Ella was SO out. Gymnastics is a good work out!

Birthday Bash

Ella is 3! I cannot believe how big she is getting. She is at such a fun age; we can actually hold a conversation, she can help me with Kash, and she is so beautiful! Right now what I am loving about her is that she is so concerned for other people's feelings. She always knows when I am having a bad day because she will say, "mom, are you happy?" "its ok mom, be happy!" How can you not smile when your 3 year old says that to you?
Her birthday party was a huge success. We had a GREAT turnout! I could not believe how many people came, thank you so much to everyone who came and helped! Her party was at the Cottonwood Cove Park which has tons of crazy toys. We had a Dora cake, Dora balloons, and a Dora pinata.....she kind of likes Dora at the moment. Mary and I made TONS of pink cupcakes. We had ice blocking, croquet was set up, and Matt filled about 300 water balloons complete with Angie's homemade water balloon launcher! It was such a nice night and everyone just ran around and played! I didn't have the chance to take many pictures, but of course Corinne was right on top of it for me:

My BRAVE girl!

Ella's surgery went great! She was really brave, she didn't even cry when they took her away. The worst part was that she couldn't eat or drink. It broke my heart when she was begging for a drink of water....it was the saddest thing ever. It didn't help with Kash running around, grabbing sippy cups and snacks out of the diaper bag right in front of her! The promise of an ice cream cone afterwards really helped I think! She really must be my daughter if the thought of a treat makes everything worth it. When we were able to see her she was totally fine. She was eating a cookie as happy as could be. One of the first things she said to me was, "my ears feel better!" The doctor said it was probably the first time she felt some relief, like her ears popped for the first time in her life. I feel so bad that she has been in pain for so long. I think she really got used to the pain, it was just a part of life. The rest of the day she was 100% her old self. Hopefully this will be the end of her ear problems. I am excited to see her hearing and speech improve because she has heard everything as if she was under water. I am so glad this day is over!

Big Day

Tomorrow Ella is having surgery. It is very minor, she is getting tubes in both ears. She will have to be put under though. We are arriving at the hospital at 11:30 and the surgery should be around 12 or 12:30. Your thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Bee Sting!

While we were in California my little Kash Man got stung by a bee! We thought he just stepped on a rock but I ended up pulling out a stinger from his big toe. He was SO sad and I felt so bad for him. We put on some cartoons and cuddled with him on the bed and after awhile he was just fine.

He is such a little trooper because he even attempted to smile at the camera!

FIRST day of PRESCHOOL!

Today was Ella's very first day of preschool. I cannot believe that I have a preschooler. This means that I am officially old! She is going to be 3 on Monday and I think it is crazy! She is definitely the youngest in her class but I figure 2 full years of preschool can't hurt, right? Her teacher said she did really well and is very BRIGHT. Just what every mom wants to hear right? Maybe thats why she says it? haha Well she loved it and I think it will be so good for her. And I thought it was great to have some one on one time with Kash, which NEVER happens.

Of course we were running late on her first day so here she is with a pop tart for breakfast!
