Line it up

Lately Ella and Kash like to get everything out of the garage and line it up on the driveway. Ella is the one who is very particular, and wants everything a certain way. Kash mostly just does the heavy lifting for her. I can't help but smile when I see everything perfectly lined up like this. It sure does entertain them, so I am all for it. I thought I might as well benefit even more from this arrangement by putting Evie in one of the strollers. She was perfectly happy sitting there watching her brother and sister play.

Karlee's Bridal Shower

My cute sister Karlee is getting married in April and we are so excited! I was able to surprise her and show up at her bridal shower in California. It was a quick trip; my Grandma and Aunt Robin and I left at 5 am Saturday morning and drove home Sunday morning. I am so glad we went, it was short but so so fun to be there for Kar. Whitney's mother in law Lisa hosted it at her beautiful home and it turned out really nice. We had a delicious brunch and enjoyed chatting with everyone.

Karlee was so excited for her kitchen aid mixer. She loves to bake more than anyone I know.

She got a very special present from our grandma. She passed down our great grandmother's china! Yes, we were all jealous.

She was HILARIOUS opening lingerie (what did she think her sisters would get her?!). She was SO embarrassed and wouldn't show a thing. It didn't help that all of us girls were cheering from across the room. Bless her heart.

Mandy sat by Karlee as she opened her gifts and wrote everything down. She was across the room from the rest of us so we kept making fun of her and taking her picture. This is her signature "thumbs up" pose.

Sweet Liddy! I made sure to get my fair share of holding this little thing. You really have to soak up that newborn stage, I already miss it.

Evie was having fun playing with her blanket and when I went to check on her I only saw this giant flower and two big eyes peeking out.

CuPcAkEs

Some of our neighbor girls were over playing so we decided to make cupcakes and decorate them for St. Patrick's Day. They had lots of fun!

5 months

Evie at about 5 months...I just snapped these while Matt was holding her. And yes, she really is this chubby.


P.S. I was trying to find something green for her to wear for St. Patrick's Day and Ella picked something out that was a size 12 months. I told her no, that was too big. She insisted we try it out so we did and.....yep it fit perfectly.

AGAIN!

Once again we have another Costco purchase by Matt. This giant ball which the kids adore. They have so much fun playing in there and rolling around. Matt likes to get them in there one at a time and roll them around FAST. I don't know how they haven't gotten hurt or thrown up. We have neighbor kids that come over just to play in this thing!

A Dad Thing

I always have a picture like this with Matt and the babies. I also have pictures of my dad holding his babies and my babies. Must be a Dad thing? I love it.

Evie and Ella

Ella loves her little sister. I can always count on her to check on her for me, or keep her entertained for a few minutes while I finish something up. She will often lay down next to her and play with her and talk with her. Evie absolutely loves the attention. I have even found Ella reading books to Evie and it melts my heart. I'm so grateful that Ella has been such a great helper, I don't know what I'd do without her. I just love my girls.

Magical Powers

Ella was sitting by me trying to take my anklet off of my foot. She didn't say a word, she just quietly studied it and messed around with the lock. I kept talking with Matt, knowing she wouldn't be able to unlock it. Then she triumphantly held it up for us to see, she had taken it off. I could see she was very proud of herself so I said, "Wow Ella how in the world did you do that? I didn't think you would be able to get that off, its pretty tricky." She said, "I know, me either...... maybe I have magical powers like a PROPHET!"

Playing Catch Up

I've been absent from the blogging world for quite some time now. We have been really busy but also blogging hasn't seemed as fun to me lately. I've been in a blogging rut. But because this year I am going to print out my blog in place of my scrapbook, I HAVE to keep it up. So I've done 12 posts in the last 2 days! I am up to date and feel so relieved. I am going to try to be more consistent so I don't get overwhelmed.

Nana and Papa's

While we were staying with Whitney we went to my parents house to visit. They live only 20 minutes away from each other. I can't imagine how nice that would be. 5 hours is a long trip with 3 little kids. Whitney doesn't know how good she has it! It was nice for Evie to have one on one time with them without Ella and Kash trying to get all of the attention.

I've learned to keep a bib on this girl at all times because she spits up so much.

We wanted to play games so my mom got her exersaucer out so Evie could sit up and play near us. She really liked it, I guess its time to get mine out too.

Favorite Things

Evie does these two things all the time. 1) rolls from her back to her stomach. I think as soon as I put her on the floor she immediately rolls over. It doesn't take her long to get sick of being stuck on her tummy. There has been one time where she was on her stomach, and I left the room for a minute and came back and she was on her back. So she has done it at least once! I think we will all be a lot happier when she figures this trick out.

2) she loves loves to play with her feet. She is obsessed. If she isn't grabbing or eating her feet, its her hands. But her feet sure our fascinating.

Sweet Liddy

Evie and I went to California to visit Whitney and her new baby, Liddy Kate. She is the sweetest thing, and even though she is a good sized baby (she was born 8 lbs 4 0z) she just seemed so tiny next to my Evie! After only a few months I had forgotten how little newborns really are. Whit and I are so excited to have our girls so close in age, we just know they are going to be the best of friends.

Whitney is so on top of things and was already wanting to do her own photo shoot for Liddy. Everything was so cute and she got some really good ones. I tried to stay out of the way while they took her pictures so this is the only one I got.

While Liddy was taking a break we decided to try a few with Evie. She would NOT smile. Really, she did not smile once. I was so mad but I still took a ton of pictures.
