My green thumb

I have lived in my house for over a year and these are the first flowers I have planted. I have really wanted some by my front door so I finally did it. I don't know a thing about gardening so I thought I better take a picture while they still looked pretty! It has been a couple of weeks now and they definitely don't look as good as they do here. I should probably rip them out and put fake ones in! That's how bad I am.
