Tonoquint Easter Egg Hunt

This Easter Egg Hunt was crazy! There were SO many kids there. I figured Ella and Kash wouldn't have much luck, but they proved me wrong. When it comes to candy these two don't mess around. They stayed close to the ground, picking up eggs as they ran, they were pros!

Kash ended up with a ton of eggs and he was nice enough to share with Adam.

Baby Got Back!

Evie in all her glory! She isn't exactly what you would call petite, she is definitely a chunk, and we love it. The kids were playing in the backyard all day and when it was time to come inside I literally had to strip Evie down. It didn't help that somehow she had found an old pudding cup so she had that all over her! Gross, I know. Once I got her undressed she took off on a wiggle car before I could stop her. I couldn't resist getting a few pictures.

Becky's Wedding

My dear friend Becky got married in March! It was such a special day and so fun to see her so happy. I didn't get very many pictures but here are the few that I took.

The day started with brunch and a very entertaining program! For those of you that know the Glausers, you would expect nothing less. She just looked gorgeous.

Then we went to the temple and had pictures taken afterwards. I didn't take any pictures while we were there, she was much too busy! The reception that night was perfect! It was beautiful with yummy food and dancing. This is the only picture I have of the beautiful bride in her dress!

Evie and Amelia were so funny together.

Evie kept trying to hug Amelia, which is weird because she doesn't easily show affection!

And poor Amelia kept pushing her away!

These two were happy eating chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows...obviously.

Bridesmaids Leah, Corinne, Lindsay, and Ashley (among others) and Baby Jet was soaking up all the attention.

I had to go early to the reception to help set up and when Matt brought the kids later, Evie had a band aid on her forehead. She had hit the corner of the coffee table and split her eyebrow open. It was pretty deep and might even leave a scar. It didn't stop her from enjoying the party though!

Shoes Shoes Shoes

Evie loves shoes. If there are shoes lying around the house, she will put them on. One of the few words she will say is, "shoes." So here she is attempting to wear my Uggs, which are as big as she is!


And yes, this is what her hair really looks like. Nikki calls her Loyd from Dumb and Dumber. Poor thing! Her mom should really do something about that...

Pirates

This year Adam had a pirate birthday party. You were supposed to dress up so we scavenged around for costumes. They ended up looking pretty cute! Sadly, this is the only picture I ended up taking. Happy Birthday Adam!

Babysitting Fun

I had my cute neighbor Lacey watch the kids for a little while and when I got back I found them painting rocks in the backyard. So fun!

They got really into it and Ella wanted all of hers to be watermelon rocks.

Later they set up a "rock stand" and sold rocks and random candy that they found around the house. They had a sign up sheet where you signed your name and wrote what you liked/disliked about their product and service. That must have been Lacey's idea:)

It's true that Ella has quite a few friends. She is very social and loves to play. There are also a few girls in our neighborhood that just show up at the front door to play, where as with Kash we have to make "play date" arrangements.

Ella was at school and Kash was begging to play a game. When he asks to play a game that is code for: I want to play on the computer, your phone, or the DS. (We have recently put tight restrictions on these things; only learning games on the computer and phone, and we took the DS away altogether...but that is another story). I told him no, he could ride his bike, jump on the tramp, etc etc. When that didn't go over well I suggested having a friend come over.

He really has only 2 friends in the neighborhood that he plays with. When the first one couldn't play, it wasn't looking good. As I was trying to get a hold of the 2nd friend, this is what Kash said:


"Mom, Jesus made more friends for Ella then he did for me."

Bless his little heart! I can see why he would think that was the case. I talked to him about it for a minute and then I immediately tracked that 2nd friend down and within 5 minutes we were having a much needed play date!

Liddy's Birthday

Nikki and I took off for a weekend (with no kids!) and headed to California. We were able to be there for Liddy's first birthday! It was so cute and so much fun but I was having camera trouble so I only got a few pictures. Here she is as we sang Happy Birthday.

She wanted NOTHING to do with her cake! She was so funny, she wouldn't even touch it. Of course Papa was there to rescue her.

She was much happier once she got some presents! What girl wouldn't be?

Love this sweet girl! She is such a doll.

Valentine's Day

The kids woke up to their Valentine goodies all laid out!

For breakfast they had red and white heart shaped pancakes, strawberries, and pink milk.

All ready for school.

Nikki and I attempted hearts in Ella's hair...it was pretty hard with all those curls.

Later that day the kids were on the tramp and I wanted to get a picture with all three of them.

It didn't work out...need I say more?

That night Matt and I went to dinner while Nikki babysat. (the advantages of having a single sister living with you!). It was a fun day and we are so happy to have Daddy back!

Dad is Back

The night before Valentine's Day Matt got back from his annual business trip. He had been gone for 23 straight days. He hardly got through the front door before he was literally attacked by his three children!

Evie was a little wary of him at first but it didn't take her too long to warm up:)

Valentine time

We had lots of cousins over to our house to make valentine treats. Gina brought Adam, Emily, and Aubree and we made chocolate covered oreos. They dipped them in white chocolate and then covered them with sprinkles. The ones that didn't get eaten right away turned out pretty cute!

It didn't take long for these 5 cuties to dig right in.

First, dip the oreo in the chocolate...

Second, pour an entire jar of sprinkles on top.

Third, eat immediately.

I love how these two both scrunch their noses the exact same way!
