Beach House 2011

Another fun year at the beach! We love our week at the beach so much and always say that we should really make it a two week stay. This year was a little more challenging with at 10 month old crawler. Evie actually loved the sand and the water but she was sick the entire time, which was hard. Also her nap schedule was tricky! She never lasted too long down at the beach before she needed to go back up to bed. Ella and Kash were so easy, they just played and played. Everyday they would ask if it was time to go home, and how many days we had left. They did NOT want to leave! About halfway into the week I dropped my camera in the ocean:( but somehow I still have tons and tons of pictures.

This is how we transported Evie up and down the stairs everyday. It was a good work out, she isn't exactly a light load.

She would head straight towards the water so Matt dug a giant hole to try to contain her. It didn't last long...the next day he went a bit deeper!

Kash and Ella loved playing in the ocean. They were always asking someone to take them out in the waves. I was surprised how far they went out, they weren't scared at all.

He is such a sweet big brother to Evie

It melts my heart to see Kash and Ella play so darling together. They really are best friends.

Whitney and I really wanted pictures of Liddy and Evie in their matching swim suits. They were NOT happy about it. These are the only ones where they are not totally screaming.

We love the beach and we love spending time with our cute family. Can't wait for next year!

Aquarium of the Pacific

Vacation! We finally went on a much needed family vacation. Every year we go to the beach with the Craft Family. We decided to go to my parents house a couple of days early to play. One of the days we were there we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. It was SO cool! The kids absolutely loved it and so did the adults.

The best part, and where we spent the most time, was the sharks. We were actually able to touch them which was awesome. All Ella talked about before we got there was how much she wanted to touch a shark and then of course when she had the chance she got nervous! The people there were so great and really made the kids comfortable. Both Ella and Kash loved it.

Taped Up

Ella told me to come look at Kash and when I did I found him all taped up! She wrapped him up with scotch tape and then taped his mouth and eyes shut! He is such a good sport. He thought it was funny until I took the tape off of his face....then he was ticked! I wonder when he is going to stop playing Ella's little games?

Part 3

That night we went over to Mike and Gina's for a barbeque. We ate and did fireworks at their house and then we headed in town for the big firework show.

I'm not sure what she cares about more, the sparkler or the cookie.

Part 2

Later we went with our friends to AntiGravity. They have indoor dodge ball, bounce houses, and trampolines where you can run, jump, and literally bounce off the walls. Unfortunately Matt's knee has been hurt so he didn't play and I had Evie....but next time we are getting in on the action!

Kristen and Dave were hard core and tried everything! Next time Matt and I are going to have to challenge them.
